Why are there bullet holes in the WISC?
As shown on page three of the Fall 2008 Badger Bytes, there are bullet holes in the groundbreaking WISC. The story goes that when the last person who could maintain the WISC retired, he asked permission to take the machine home. With permission granted, he excavated and knocked a hole in his basement through which the WISC was moved. He used the machine for several years in his own consulting practice. When he passed away his son could find no further use for the WISC so used it to prop up a target - the holes are from when he missed!
